Edward Gorey

Image
Here I have my Edward Gorey assignment. You had to make a rhyming phrase with your name with a black and white patterned background. I chose the word dramatic because it was one of the few words that rhymed that made sense.  There is no original, you had to create your own original.  below, I have a random piece of Edward Gorey, just to show an example of what his art work looks like.

celebrity coloring book

Above I have the original picture of Hershel Walker during a game. Below I have my drawing of Hershel Walker. This assignment was to draw a celebrity of any kind, and be able to put in in or use it as a page in a coloring book. The reason why I chose Herschel Walker, is its my dads favorite sports player and I wanted to do something cool for him. Below I have another coloring book page of Alex Morgan. I did this in my spare time for my sister.

cartoon yourself

Image
Here is my original picture without being edited. Here is my cartoon of myself. I chose a plain orange and pink background because it goes well with the black shirt. I was not inspired by anything, but the backround looks like orange and pink painting by Mark Rothko. I liked this assignment because i could make myself look like anything with any background I want.

Cartoon Version of a masterpiece

Image
Above I have the original painting, American Gothic by Grant Wood which was painted in 1930. Below I have the American Gothic painting, but I put on Donald and Daisy Ducks faces with the same country home in the background

Scream Assignment

Image
Here I have The Scream by Edvard Munch on the top.  In the middle, I have the scream with the body and face before I put my face on. Then below that, I made my own by putting my own face on the scream with a customized sunset and beach. The reason I chose these colors is because it blends well together with the orange and purple tying in to halloween and The Scream.

Mona Lisa assignment

Image
For this assignment, I traced the main features of the Mona Lisa, then customized her by being in a museum in front of the Mona Lisa, with a shirt saying she's her number one fan. I liked this assignment, because it my first ever assignment, and it was fun to change her looks. Listed below is Leonardo DaVinci's original masterpiece, "Mona Lisa."
